木の実や種を造形のテーマに選んだ酒器です。有機的でありながら幾何学的なひねりをもった形を生み出すために、桂の木の立方体を対角で半円に削り落とし、角を直線で繋いで削り落としてあります。面と面のぶつかる稜線を失わない程度に角を落とし、亜麻仁油で仕上げました。

I chose the nuts and seeds of plants as the theme for the form of this sake cup. In order to create a shape that is both organic and has a geometric twist, a cube of laurel wood is cut down to a semicircle at the diagonal, and the corners are connected and scraped off with straight lines. The corners are removed to the extent that the ridges where the faces meet are not lost, and the piece is finished with linseed oil.
